Family Style: Sundays through August 17

Family Style is an interactive and fun series where we invite the youngest members of our church family (Preschool to 6th Grade) to be part of the adult service. In this series, Pastor Ryan and Nikki will discuss topics that are relevant to people of all ages. These services are sure to stimulate everyone's attention in a manner that is challenging and encouraging to both kids and adults.

Picnic, Baptism & Baby Dedication at Lester River: August 17

Join us after the service next Sunday at Lester River Park. Bring a dish to share for the picnic; meat, buns, beverages and paper products will be provided. Following the picnic, we will have a baptism and baby dedication. Baptism is an outward expression of our decision to follow Jesus. If you have not yet been baptized, this is your opportunity. Sign-up for the baptism or baby dedication on the blue Connection form, as well as if you’re coming to the picnic. We are excited to see you all there!

Pre-Service Prayer
We have a special time for prayer every Sunday from 10:00 - 10:30 am in the Youth Room. Come join us next week!

Mission Trip Meetings
Mexico Missions Trip to Casa de Niños - November 21-29, 2008
Sunday, August 17: Planning meeting after the service
Projects could include: basic construction or maintenance, painting, cleaning, ministering to kids and serving the local neighborhood. This is an introductory trip that is open to families and individuals who are committed followers of Jesus. Applications for this mission trip will be Due Sunday, August 10.

Guatemala

Mission Trip - February 5-14, 2009
Sunday, August 24: Information meeting after the service
We have a passion to reach people in Guatemala who are living in difficult situations and poverty. Opportunities we will have include: medical clinics, building projects and ministering to the practical and spiritual needs of people living in remote villages. This is a moderate-level mission trip designed for those who have some ministry experience and a passion for sharing God's love with others.
